Reunión dirigida a la formación de Médicos tarificadores. Lugar: Marriot Hotel Viena, del 25-27 abril 2012.

Dear colleagues

In 2010 you attended, joined, presented at, or showed interest in the European Life and Health Underwriters' Association (ELHUA) and I am writing
to give you an update and let you know about our next big event.

Brussels in 2010 was by most measures a real success, with 123 attendees from 25 different countries, which for a first event I regard as fantastic.
We, of course, learned some lessons; in particular the hotel was perhaps not of the standard required, and the format needed to be more interactive. Both of these are now reflected in our plans for the second event, which will be held at the Marriott Hotel in Vienna from the 25th to the 27th April 2012, where our goal is to at least double the attendance figures.

The hotel is significantly better than the one we used in Brussels, with superb conference facilities and great rooms, although as you may expect
this has resulted in a slightly more expensive rate for rooms and also for the conference facilities themselves. We have, however, negotiated cheaper rates if you book before the 23rd January; after then both room and conference rates will rise.

The programme has also been adapted to make this more interactive with the introduction of case study discussion sessions, to really enable you to get involved (if you wish) and demonstrate the practical implications of the topics being discussed. We are also acutely aware of the many languages
spoken across Europe and the issues this causes, with it being difficult for many to listen to only English for 2.5 days. To help reduce the impact of
this, we are offering multiple break out sessions with the same topic being covered in different languages. Although the topics are the same, the
content will not be, as we want to enable the presenters to use their own material and also reflect more the peculiarities of that topic in the
countries where that language is spoken. Initially the break out sessions will be offered in English, German, French and Dutch, but other languages
may be added subject to demand and availability of presenters.

Although the programme is subject to change, we have already outlined our initial plans on the website, and opened the conference for registration;
the reduced rate rooms are available on a first come first served basis, once they are gone, normal Marriott rates will be charged, so please book
early. You may note from the program that we have the support of all the main reinsurers and will be filling in the presenters' names over the coming weeks. There are, however, still gaps and we are especially keen to encourage presenters from insurance companies to take on the challenge and come and speak at ELHUA. So if you are interested, or have colleagues who you know are great presenters in any of the languages being offered, please get in touch.

For those of you who joined ELHUA, I am afraid your membership has now expired, but as promised in Brussels, renewal is available for just EUR 20.
First time membership is available for EUR 40. Check out the "Joining ELHUA" page on the website. Membership entitles you to a EUR 50 reduction on the costs of attending the 2012 ELHUA conference.

I look forward to seeing you in Vienna, and feel free to pass this e-mail on to colleagues or friends who may also be interested in ELHUA.
